Virtual care visits

Virtual care visits are a convenient way for you to talk directly with your provider from the safety and comfort of your home or anywhere, as long as you have access to the Internet.

Please note while most Welia Health providers offer virtual care visits, not all appointments can be done using this technology.

Scheduling a virtual visit

Virtual visits may be scheduled by phone or online appointment request. Note that virtual visits may not be scheduled through MyChart at this time.

What do I need for a virtual visit?

  • A smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone
  • A strong Internet connection
  • Teleconferencing app, Zoom, downloaded and installed. Download Zoom here.

Joining a virtual visit

How do I join a virtual visit?

When you schedule your virtual care visit, you will be asked if you prefer email or text communications. Instructions will be provided to you in your preferred format. You may also access those instructions below. Select the instructions for the device you will use for this virtual visit and the method you selected to receive communications.

During your virtual visit

Like during an in-person visit, your provider will review your symptoms, medical history, medications, and other relevant information. Based on the evaluation, they may provide recommendations, possibly further testing, consultation, or medication prescription.
