As of November 2, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends an age-appropriate dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 and older.
Welia Health is working in conjunction with Kanabec County Community Health and local schools to provide opportunities for children to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

November 22 (with the second dose planned for Monday, December 13 from 3:30-5:30pm)

Other area schools
- Pine City Public Schools, Hinckley-Finlayson Public Schools and East Central Schools are working with Pine County Public Health to schedule vaccine clinics. Please check the Pine County website and Facebook page for updates.

If you prefer to have your child get their COVID-19 vaccine in a clinic setting, please call 320.679.1313 schedule an appointment with a nurse.
The COVID-19 vaccine can also be administered during a child’s annual well-child visit. Well-child appointments are recommended annually from infancy to age 20. Call 320.679.1313 or log onto MyChart to schedule an appointment.
Due to patient volumes, an appointment will be required.
