Over the past two months, as Welia Health prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic, some delays in rehabilitation care were recommended to keep patients and staff safe.
We are now encouraging you to begin or continue your rehabilitation care. Typically, when a care plan is delayed or discontinued, the healing process can be affected significantly—pain, strength, and endurance—all have the potential to put you at risk for further decline in physical and cognitive well-being.
Several safety measures have been implemented to protect both you and our staff.
Check-in Procedures
- Prior to your appointment and will be asked several questions to determine if you are experiencing any concerning COVID-19 like symptoms.
- Masks are required. If you do not have a mask, a reusable mask will be provided to you. Please always wear your mask unless asked to remove it by your provider.
- We are enforcing physical distancing recommendations by monitoring clinic capacity.
Registration
- For any paperwork that needs to be signed, patient registration staff will manage pens.
Maximizing Distance
- We have rearranged equipment and waiting room chairs to support physical distancing.
- Posters and announcements are displayed to remind patients to physically distance.
Cleaning Procedures
- We ask you to wash or sanitize your hands before and after your therapy appointment.
- Increased disinfection and cleaning protocols have been implemented. We address high-touch and high-traffic areas, such as waiting rooms and restrooms, equipment, tables, and chairs on a more frequent basis.
