All appointment slots are now full for the two scheduled clinic dates: Thursday, January 21 and Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

As we receive more vaccine supplies, we will open additional clinics. The best way to stay informed for future clinics is to be a part of our email list and follow us and Public Health on social media.

Welia Health offers vaccines to people 65 and older

Following new guidelines and a request from the Minnesota Department of Health to begin vaccinations of Minnesotans 65 and older, Welia Health and local public health officials are offering a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Thursday, January 21 and Tuesday, January 26.

Vaccines are available by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Please do not visit your healthcare provider or the vaccination site unless you have a scheduled appointment.

Who’s eligible now?

  • Minnesotans ages 65 and over

If you’re 65 or older, follow five easy steps to get your COVID-19 vaccine.

1.  Schedule an appointment

  • Using this link
  • No walk-ins. No waiting lists.

2. Check-in at Welia Center (formerly the Community Wellness Center)

  • On the day of your appointment, arrive and check-in at the Welia Center (Wellness Center, 200 N 9th St, Mora) no earlier that 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will help ensure social distancing and remember, masks are required.
  • Bring a current ID
  • The vaccine is free for everyone

3. Get your shot!

  • You’ll review the safety information and a Pfizer BioNTech Fact sheet with a nurse and sign the vaccination agreement before getting your shot.
  • Thank you for helping to stop the spread of COVID-19! 

4. Relax for 15 minutes

  • Following your vaccination, you will need to sit for 15 minutes to ensure you do not experience an allergic reaction
    • If you have a history of allergic reactions, you will need to sit for 30 minutes for observation.
  • During the observation period, a representative will schedule your second dose, 21 days from the date of your first dose.

5. Review COVID-19 information flyers

If you think you might be having an allergic reaction, go to a hospital or call 9-1-1 If you have side effects that do not go away after a few days, call your primary care provider at 320.679.1313.
